The day that the Jewish Federation has been dreaming about is finally here. Community day is ready to bust out tomorrow, and make your Sunday. The Federation has been a huge supporter since long before we physically existed. These are the kind of people that everyone should be lucky enough to have an opportunity to work with them. Takosher is showing its support by showing up ready to serve up the goods, watch the smiles, and watch happy eaters walk away loosening their belts. Come on out people to: The Jewish Federation, 550 S. 2nd Ave, Arcadia, from 11-3pm. See you there. Its all about community, and its all about food

You know, sometimes this time of year is so much about bringing everybody together, that people get left out. So, you know, just to put it out there, Takosher wants to make it clear that our wishes come from a place from us, addressing all people, for all people. One of the principle ideas why Takosher exists is because we know that food serves as a catalyst for breaking down the walls and divisions between what makes us different, and helps to find grounds for things that we have in common. Food helps us to celebrate diversity and share across those cultural, social, religious, as well as any other lines that come to mind. The holidays are a reflective time for many, and for Takosher it is a time to remember that we are more alike than we are different, no matter what anybody says, thinks, or believes. And to this dear friends, let us raise our tortillas, and all that goes in them and say, “Shalola, L’chaim, and let’s eat!”
