Takosher would like to take a moment to share with you , a happy Shavuot. While the holiday itself is a celebration of the reception of the Ten Commandments to the people, it is commonly celebrated and considered one of three annual “feast” holidays in Jewish tradition.

The irony of this particular situation is that Takosher offers something to with which to celebrate the holiday, but because it is a holiday, Takosher does not operate, and therefore we are unable to offer the Takosher “Harvest” today.

In any case, please have a great day, relax and enjoy.

Word on the street is that if you really want to do it right, you cheese blintzes are the way to go today.

Takosher would like to take a moment to unleaven and say thanks to all who have shown support and enthusiasm for the first and what remains the only glatt kosher certified taco truck in the country. At the time of Passover we reflect upon many things. One of which is the pertinence of the Passover story and how it relates to the world we live in today. We live, we interpret, we celebrate the rich history and cultural that makes us who we are.

Hey Jewish World Watch! thanks for having us out for your event. It was inspiring to see everyone out is such great spirits to support something as important as the ending of genocide and world hunger. We were proud to be there and hope that we have the opportunity to collaborate again soon.

Dear Takosherfriends,

Every now and again, its just time to says thanks for the support and thank you in general. Believe it or not, we make every effort to make each and every plate something special for each person eating. Eating is more than fuel. It has the potential for a dining experience with meaning and purpose. There is a spirituality to eating, and everything that comes out of our window aims to hold a piece of that spirit within it.

At this time, we have nothing more than to say thank you all for everything. Our menu is growing, we are beginning our work in schools, our event calendar is filling, and we just can’t thank you all enough.

Cesar Chavez was a special person (to say the least). He succeeded in the face of adversity, and continued to help those he knew and did not know in order to help people grow and move forward. It is a day to celebrate this special man, who exists as a beacon in our collective human experiences. Cesar Chavez represents someone whose thoughts and actions demonstrate a life lived outside the box, and beyond the fetters of our imaginations!
